Themes For Your Bachelorette Party
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Kathy_S.]Kathy S.

A bachelorette party is an excellent opportunity for friends and family of the bride-to-be to get together to celebrate her friendship and impending marriage.  Nowadays, many bachelorette party planners like to have a theme for the party.  The theme can be anything that would be fun for everyone attending, but the theme should be cleared with the bride-to-be first.  The time before the wedding can be very stressful and while she might normally like a wild night on the town under normal circumstances, a nice relaxing spa visit may be a better choice.  The planner will also need to take into consideration the cost of the bachelorette party and if she wants to pay the entire bill herself, ask for donations from others, or specify that each person attending must pay a certain amount.  This cost of the party may also be dependant upon how many people will be attending.

Here are a couple of ideas to make a theme bachelorette party a success:

Girl's Night Out

Getting the girls together for a night of clubbing can be a fun idea if the bride-to-be approves.  The party can visit one bar or head to a section of town that has many bars within walking distance.  Take transportation into consideration when planning.  If there are only a few people coming, they may want to carpool.  However, the cars should be driven by a designated driver to make sure everyone gets home safely.  If there are many people coming, consider renting a limousine or having taxis pick people up and take them home.  Everyone wants to have a good time, but safety should always be a concern.

Spa Time

Weddings can be a stressful time, not only for the bride-to-be, but also the attendants, family members, and anyone else involved.  A nice day at the spa could help relax everyone and make the week much easier.  Call a local spa to see if they cater to larger parties.  If not, you may want to contact local specialists (masseuse, manicure, and pedicure) to see if they will do an at home party.  The fairest way to do this type of party is for each attendant to pay for their own spa time as well as chip in a bit to cover the bride-to-be's expenses.

Pajama Party

Slumber parties were fun as teen girls, so why not relive those fun memories with a grown up slumber bachelorette party?  Check with the bachelorette first, but the night could include such fun activites as a crazy pajama party, chick flicks, nail painting, junk food, music, and even margaritas.

Comedy Club

Another great alternative to staying home, taking the bachelorette party to a comedy club can be great fun for everyone.  One thing to think about is the bride-to-be's sense of humor.  If she loves being the center of attention, this is a great choice because more than likely, the comedians will pick up on the fact that there is a bachelorette party going on and work that into the act.  However, if the bride-to-be is a bit reserved and shy, this might not be a great choice unless you get tables toward the back of the club where the bride-to-be won't be on display.

Poker Party

Who says poker night is just for the guys?  This is an easily put together party that involves all the attendees gathering at one house for fun, food, and some card games.  Betting is optional, but one possibility is everyone betting, with all the monies won going to the bride-to-be at the end of the night.

Weekend Getaway

This is a more expensive bachelorette party, but definitely one that will be memorable if everyone can afford it.  The getaway can be to an outrageously busy place like Las Vegas or somewhere more relaxed like Palm Springs - whatever sounds like fun for the bride-to-be and the entire group.

Amusement Park

Another fun, throwback to teenage years party idea is going to an amusement park.  The planner may even be able to get a group discount rate if enough people attend.  The bride-to-be would probably love a stress-free day of riding rides, eating cotton candy, and playing games with friends and family.

There are many great themes for bachelorette parties, but the two most important things to remember is to find something that everyone finds enjoyable and something that can fit within everyone's budget.
